Effective Instruction for Students with Disabilities who are English Language Learners (Day 2 of 3)

According to New York State, Specially Designed Instruction, “means adapting, as appropriate to the needs of an eligible student with a disability, the content, methodology, or delivery of instruction to address the unique needs that result from the student’s disability; and to ensure the student’s access to the general curriculum, so that he or she can meet the educational standards that apply to all students.”

In this three-day workshop, participants will learn how to effectively plan for ELL students with disabilities, Evidence-Based Practices and specific strategies that have been proven to be effective in the ELL classroom, and how to bring it all together in an explicit lesson.

*This is a working group and it is expected that all participants will bring a lesson they are planning on implementing in the future.*
